Washington makes a list of best cities in the country for couples who choose not to have children.

The list, put together by real estate listing site Estately, considered cities with unusually low numbers of children and weighted those in favor of cities with great nightlife, restaurants, travel options and activities where children are likely not to be found.

Washington ranks No. 3 on this list, based on the number of dual-income couples with no kids (aka DINKS), and the large number of career professionals.

San Francisco ranked in the No. 1 spot.
