Weekly Crime Report: July 22 to July 30

Police are looking into a pair of commercial burglaries in the Symphony Park at Strathmore development, the new set of townhomes and brownstones in North Bethesda that run from $900,000 to $1,500,000 each:

A commercial burglary occurred in the 10800 block of Symphony Park Drive in Rockville sometime between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, 7/25. Unknown entry; property taken.

A second commercial burglary occurred in the 10800 block of Symphony Park Drive in Rockville sometime between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, 7/25. Unknown entry; property taken.

A theft from vehicle occurred in the 4400 block of West Virginia Avenue in Bethesda on Saturday, 7/27 at approximately 2:15 a.m. No forced entry; GPS taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 10900 block of Jolly Way in Kensington sometime between Friday, 7/26 and Monday, 7/29. Forced entry; property taken.

A theft occurred in the 11700 block of Parklawn Drive in Rockville on Wednesday, 7/24 between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Property was taken from a purse.

Five thefts from vehicles occurred this week, each involving forced entry. Three incidents occurred during the evening hours (between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.) in the commercial area of Friendship Heights, one occurred during the early morning hours of Monday, 7/29 in a residential neighborhood along the border with DC; and the final incident occurred between 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Monday, 7/29 near a walking path.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 5500 block of Pembroke Terrace in Bethesda sometime on Friday, 7/26. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken
