Police: Md. man lies down in road during argument, gets killed

WASHINGTON — A 45-year-old Maryland man was killed on Monday morning when he got out of the car he was driving on Suitland Road and lay down in the road, Prince George’s County police say.

Donald Pray, of Mentor Avenue in Capitol Heights, was driving on Suitland Road near Suitland Parkway around 1 a.m. when police say he got into an argument with a passenger. For an unknown reason, Pray stopped his car, got out and lay down in the road.

He was then hit by a car.

Police say preliminary evidence indicates Pray had been drinking.

Pray suffered critical injuries and died after being taken to a hospital.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call (301) 731-4422.
