UPDATE 8:50 a.m. Rescue crews are clearing the scene and all lanes at the intersection will be reopened shortly.

ORIGINAL MCFRS personnel are responding to an overturned vehicle near the intersection of East-West Highway and Grubb Road in Chevy Chase.

One person in the vehicle is trapped, according to MCFRS Assistant Chief Scott Graham, a department spokesperson.

The accident is causing delays in the area, especially for westbound traffic on East-West Highway.
