D.C. police investigate possible attack of teen by officer

WASHINGTON — Metropolitan police are investigating a possible attack on a teen male by a law enforcement officer in Columbia Heights Saturday night.

As first reported by DCist, a witness tweeted what she saw while coming out of the Metro station around 1:30 a.m. July 27:

Twitter user Robyn Swirling described the officer as a “big guy, about 6’3 and solid,” while “the boy is maybe 14, husky, certainly not a physical threat to the officer.”

MPD spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump says “the matter is under investigation,” but would not comment further.
