WASHINGTON — The Alexandria mother whose 8-month-old son died after he was left in a hot car was granted bond.

A judge has ruled Zoraida Conde Hernandez, 32, can have supervised visits with her children until her trial for felony child neglect.

Her lawyer says the family got help in raising the $25,000 bond. Prosecutors say Hernandez forgot her son was in his child seat on a day when temperatures rose above 90 degrees. Her lawyer says Hernandez is a good mother who is grieving the tragic loss of her son.
