Police Looking For Missing Bethesda Woman

Marie Elise Wilfart Tanabe, via MCPPolice are asking for help in locating a missing Bethesda woman who was last seen leaving the Little Falls Swim Club.

Police say Marie Elise Wilfart Tanabe, 66, of the 5100 block of Allan Terrace was last seen at about 7:30 p.m. on Thursday when she was leaving the Club, which is at 5001 Little Falls Dr. Family is concerned for Tanabe’s welfare and her mental well-being, according to a police press release.

Tanabe is described as a 5-foot-5 white female with short blonde hair and a strong French accent. She was last seen carrying a towel and wearing a burgundy and magneta one-piece swimsuit with some type of skirt, police said. She did not have her purse or any ID and is believed to be on foot.

Anyone with information about Tanabe should contact the Department’s non-emergency number at 301-279-8000.
