Harvesting good will and freezing good nutrition

“Farm To Freezer Preserving Fresh Food to Nourish the Hungry” is expanding its program this year and is looking for volunteers each weekend, through rest of the summer and into the fall. You can help wash, chop, cook, package, weigh and label as they process fresh vegetables into Farm to Freezer tomato sauce, ratatouille, and mixed vegetables for the freezer to feed the hungry. Saturdays 1:45pm to 6:30pm and Sundays 2pm to 6:30pm. Click here to pick the dates that are best for you. Its in the kitchen of The Woodside United Methodist Church, 8900 Georgia Ave. Silver Spring.
