2 hurt in Calvert County deck collapse

CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. – Two people sustained injuries when a deck they were on at a Calvert County residence collapsed Wednesday evening.

The collapse occurred at a residence on Cox Road in Chesapeake Beach at about 7 p.m. Faulty structuring caused the collapse, which sent 10 people tumbling to the ground, according to the officials with the Calvert County Sheriff’s Office.

Two people sustained minor injuries as a result of the collapse, officials said.
