Capital Bikeshare services for the Fourth of July

WASHINGTON — If you want to head to the National Mall for the fireworks, but want to steer clear of driving and skip Metro, you can always try the Capital Bikeshare bikes.

The DC Department of Transportation and Capital Bikeshare are even teaming up to provide you with “bottomless parking.”

If you head down to 10th and Constitution, instead of parking at one of the bikeshare docks, you’ll find a “bike corral” where you can leave your bike with a staffer and go pick your viewing spot for the fireworks. The parking will be available from noon until one hour after the fireworks are over.

The bike corral is for Capital Bikeshare bikes only. If you are using your own personal bike, you’ll have to find bike parking on your own.
