Southbound I-95 at ICC reopens

WASHINGTON – A fatal crash early Wednesday jammed traffic on southbound Interstate 95 at the InterCounty Connector/Md. 200.

All lanes of southbound I-95 have reopened, but there are still delays.

Three southbound right lanes had been closed because of the tractor-trailer crash.

Maryland State Police tell WTOP the crash that occurred around 3:50 a.m. involved a tractor-trailer and a car.

Another fatal crash had closed northbound Baltimore-Washington Parkway at Md. 175 for about 2 1/2 hours early Wednesday.

Maryland State Police identified the driver who died as Jeffery Hunt Williams, 37.

A preliminary investigation found his Infiniti veered onto the left shoulder and embankment of the parkway, went into a wooded area and then back on to the roadway where it overturned several times.

Williams was ejected from the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
