Roadwork in Md. to cause summer delays

WASHINGTON – Roadwork in Maryland will cause summer delays.

A resurfacing project will impact traffic along Connecticut Avenue between the Beltway and Manor Road through late August. Maryland State Highway Administration crews will close two lanes between 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. every day of the week. Additionally, one lane will be blocked Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The $4 million project, which began last spring, will improve traffic flow near the Walter Reed Naval Medical Center in Bethesda.

Meanwhile, in Prince George’s County, SHA crews blocked the ramp at southbound Route 301 and Route 50 interchange in Prince George’s County for a resurfacing project. The ramp will reopen on Monday morning.
