A library card is your ticket to the movies

WASHINGTON – That little library card may more valuable than you think.

A new program from the Arlington Public Library allows cardholders to sign up for a free account with IndieFlix.

According to the Arlington library tech team, it works like Netflix, but for independent films.They say you can stream these films to a PC, a phone, tablet, even to your Xbox 360 or Roku device.

You don’t have to live in Arlington to take advantage, either. Residents of the District, five Virginia counties and three Maryland counties have reciprocal privileges with Arlington’s library. And the Eastern Shore Regional Library has the same program.
