Metro trains ran through red signals

WASHINGTON – Metro train operators have run red signals five times in the last three months, officials say.

The Washington Examiner reports that although no one was hurt, Metro calls the incidents serious safety violations.

All of the cases were caused by human error and the operators will be re-trained and disciplined.
