Rusty the red panda debuts at National Zoo

WASHINGTON — Don’t let the questionable weather get you down. Rejoice in the National Zoo’s latest addition: A male red panda named Rusty.

The 11-month-old recently took up residence in D.C. after making his way from the Lincoln Zoo in Nebraska. He can now be seen on the Asia Trail, climbing trees and snuggling up to his roommate, Shama.

The National Zoo says you can recognize him by the blond fur on his hips and tail.
