Blind Manassas man is found safe

UPDATE – Thursday – 6/13/2013, 2:23p.m.

WASHINGTON – A missing Manassas man has been found and transported to the hospital for a medical evaluation. Lyle Foster was found along Wellington Road in Manassas, according to police.

EARLIER – Tuesday – 6/11/2013, 1:56 p.m. ET

WASHINGTON – A search is underway in the Manassas area for a 54-year-old blind man who disappeared Monday.

Manassas Police say Lyle Foster was last seen near Hood Road about 10:30 p.m. on Monday.

He stands 5-foot-9-inches tall and weights about 160 pounds. Foster has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt, blue jeans, a dark blue baseball hat and white shoes.

Foster sometimes suffers from short-term memory loss and walks with a cane.
