WASHINGTON – Flash-flood restrictions are leading to significantly reduced train speeds for both the MARC and VRE train lines Monday.
The Maryland Transit Administration says the flash-flood related restrictions are on all of the Camden and the first 10 miles of the Brunswick lines.
VRE says the reduced speed will impact trains on the Fredericksburg Line.
Manassas Line riders will experience minimal delays coming out of Union Station into Alexandria. There are no flash flood restrictions on the Manassas Line yet.
Trains on speed restrictions cannot operate faster than 40 miles per hour, both MTA and VRE say.
