WASHINGTON – The top 10 list of the happiest countries is in.

So, where does the U.S. fall? Well, it falls short – not making the top 10 at all. It did come in 14th though, right behind Israel but before Ireland.

The annual survey from the Organisation for Economic Co- operation ranked 36 countries on a variety of quality of life metrics to arrive at its rankings for the Better Life Index.

Some of the metrics included income, education, environment and jobs.
