Smoke from Leesburg house fire distracts drivers

WASHINGTON – The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Department says police and fire are responding to a Leesburg house fire that is showing a large amount of smoke.

The single-family home is fully engulfed with flames, the spokesman says.

The fire was reported at 11:55 a.m.

Authorities believe there is no one in the house located in the 18000 block of Castelguard Court.

Several area drivers contacted the WTOP newsroom to report the large amount of smoke.
