Man arrested in D.C. after stealing car with person inside

WASHINGTON – A man is in custody in D.C. after he lost control of a stolen car early Wednesday morning.

D.C. police say an unidentified female was still inside when the car was taken by force next to the Subway in the Union Market area of Northeast.

She was let out of the car near the 1500 block of C Street NE, roughly 12 blocks from the site of the robbery.

The driver lost control at the 3400 block of Benning Road NE near the Pepco facility, where he was arrested.
