Pedestrian hit by school bus in Rockville dies from injuries

WASHINGTON – A pedestrian hit by a Montgomery County school bus last week has died from his injuries and detectives continue to investigate.

The pedestrian, Jason Alexander Estabrook from Point of Rocks, Md. died Monday.

The preliminary investigation found that Estabrook had been jogging on the sidewalk adjacent to the southbound lanes of Shady Grove Road, traveling in the northbound direction.

Estabrook, 42, was hit by the bus in the intersection of Shady Grove Road and Darnestown Road in Rockville.

Montgomery County police would like to speak to anyone with information regarding the collision. Witnesses can contact detectives at 240-773-6620. Callers may remain anonymous.
