UMBC student found stabbed in residence hall

BALTIMORE (AP) – A University of Maryland Baltimore County student was found stabbed in his residence hall, and a student who had withdrawn from the school has been arrested.

Officers were called to Erickson Hall on Saturday at about 6 a.m. for a knife attack and found the male victim. The student was taken to a Baltimore hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

A campus police spokesman, Maj. Paul Dillon, says the former student, 22-year-old Cody Jared Kradz, was arrested near campus on first- and second-degree assault charges. Kradz had been a student in the spring semester but withdrew.
