GASSAWAY, W.Va. – A minor earthquake has rattled Braxton County in central West Virginia.

The U.S. Geological Survey reports that a magnitude-2.7 quake struck around 10 a.m. Sunday. The epicenter was 4 miles west-southwest of Gassaway and 7 miles west-southwest of Sutton.

No injuries or damage have been reported.

According to the USGS website, the quake was felt about 200 miles away in Alexandria, Va.
