WASHINGTON – A woman was fatally shot Thursday morning in Round Hill, Va.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting which occurred in the 34900 block of Sunny Ridge Road.

Sheriff’s deputies responded just before 11 a.m.. The woman died at the scene of the shooting.

The victim’s name has not been released.
