Talkback: CEO ends telecommuting for Yahoo employees

WASHINGTON – You may already telecommute, or wish you could. But what if you had the flexibility to work from home but then your employer took it away?

Yahoo’s new CEO Marissa Mayer is now requiring that all employees work from the office to help spark ideas and and promote innovation.

The move runs counter to federal agencies’ efforts to increase telework opportunities and many Silicon Valley companies, which generally offer flexible scheduling policies.

But USA Today reports that the Mayer inherited a troubled company and the move will allow her to rebuild the company and eliminate under-performing workers.

So if you’re juggling work and family and enjoy not fighting D.C. traffic every day, what do you think of Mayer’s decision?
