Hotel Monticello reopening as The Graham Georgetown

The Hotel Monticello in Georgetown, acquired by Florida-based Mast Capital in 2011, is scheduled to reopen in April as The Graham Georgetown.

The hotel, at 1075 Thomas Jefferson St. NW, has undergone a multimillion-dollar renovation that increased the number of rooms from 38 to 57, including 30 suites. It also has added a fitness center and two restaurants, including a rooftop lounge.

The rooftop Observatory will serve dinner and weekend brunch. The lower-level restaurant, The Alex, will offer breakfast and dinner. Both are open to the public.

It will be a busy spring for Georgetown hotel openings. Another boutique hotel, the Capella Washington, at 1050 31st St. NW, also has an April opening planned.
