Long-term traffic shift on 11th St. SE

Tim Bracken, wtop.com

WASHINGTON – Starting today, a long-term traffic shift is scheduled to take effect on 11th Street SE between K and L Streets.

The long block of 11th Street underneath of the Southeast-Southwest Freeway will have 1 lane getting by in each direction, in addition to parking restrictions in the work zone.

Bike lanes in both directions will be closed as well.

The lane closures will remain in place for several months while crews work on demolishing the old 11th Street Bridge.
