Houses and apartments in Logan Circle and Dupont Circle were on the market an average of just 22 days before being sold in December, the fastest-selling neighborhoods in D.C. last month.

Long & Foster says Districtwide, sales last month were up 9 percent from a year ago, with average selling prices up 13 percent to $450,000. The number of houses and condos on the market in the District was down 46 percent from a year ago.
