Bethesda’s ‘Play in a Day’ Set For February

Bethesda’s ninth annual “Play In A Day” is coming to Imagination Stage (4908 Auburn Ave.) on Saturday, Feb. 9.

Six local theater companies will get together on Feb. 8 to receive an assigned theme and props for which to write, rehearse and refine 10-minute plays around. The groups work through the night and into Saturday, when at 8 p.m., they perform.

Last year’s award winners included Adventure Theatre in Glen Echo, Keegan Theatre in Arlington, Flying V from Bethesda and the Olney Theatre Center in Olney.

The American Ensemble Theatre, Flying V and Imagination Stage are the Bethesda theater companies participating in this year’s event, which costs $15.

Some material may not be suitable for children.
