Police nabbing speeders on Intercounty Connector

WASHINGTON – Better slow down on the Intercounty Connector.

The Gazette reports police have issued 10 speeding citations and warnings per day on the ICC during the past three months, according to data from the Maryland Transportation Authority.

Montgomery County Councilmember Philip Andrews (D-District 3) tells The Gazette residents are complaining that “police officers are ticketing speeders aggressively.”

The transportation authority is looking to see whether to raise the speed limit from 55 to 60 miles per hour.
