Miss DC: ‘I want to be alive’ (VIDEO)

WASHINGTON – “All the women in my life have lost this battle,” says Miss DC Allyn Rose.

The 24-year-old woman, who is competing to be Miss America, plans to have both of her breasts removed as a preventative measure to reduce her chances of developing breast cancer, the cancer that killed her mother, grandmother and great aunt.
