Defense Department Releases Final Grant Money For Walter Reed Intersections — Yesterday, Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D) and Senators Ben Cardin (D) and Barbara Mikulski (D) announced the Defense Department released the final $12.6 million to the Maryland State Highway Administration for work on intersection improvement projects near Walter Reed. Frosh Wants to Stop Speed Camera Bounties — State Sen. Brian Frosh (D-Bethesda-Chevy Chase) says new laws will be introduced in the upcoming State Assembly to prevent counties and municipalities from issuing more speed camera tickets so speed camera vendors make more money. In Montgomery County, 40 percent of each $40 speeding camera ticket goes to the vendor. [WTOP]
