Voluntary recall for salmon sold at Sam’s Club

WASHINGTON – Multiexport Foods, Inc. has issued a voluntary recall of smoked salmon sold at Sam’s Club stores.

The recall for possible listeria contamination affects Paramount Reserve brand cold smoked salmon sold in a 12-ounce twin pack and a 1.25-pound pack. The product was distributed between Nov. 12 and Dec. 21 and may have been at stores in Maryland and Virginia.

According to a release on the recall, there are no confirmed illnesses stemming from the salmon.

Customers who have bought the recalled salmon should return it for a full refund. Those with questions can call Multiexport Foods, Inc. at (888) 624-9773 during business hours.
