Missing Loudoun Co. police dog found Sunday

UPDATE: The Loudoun County Sheriff’s office says their missing police dog has been found and appears healthy.

Bronco, who escaped from a groomers Friday afternoon, has been taken to a local veterinarian as a precaution.


WASHINGTON – The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office reports that one of its police dogs escaped on Friday afternoon while at the groomers.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating the German shepherd in the Leesburg area.

The canine, whose name is Bronco, is described as weighing 80-85 pounds.

The dog was last seen around King Street and Catoctin Circle and may have traveled south of this area.
