Va. girl seriously injured after hit by car in driveway

WASHINGTON – A 15-month-old girl was seriously injured after being run over by a car in Loudoun County Wednesday afternoon.

Loudoun Sheriff Mike Chapman says the girl was in the driveway of a home in the 17200 block of Twin Oaks Place in Hamilton.

Chapman says right now it appears to be a terrible accident.

The child has been taken by helicopter to the hospital. Her condition is not clear at this point.
