Woman’s body found in Laurel, foul play not suspected

WASHINGTON – Howard County police are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body in a wooded area in Laurel.

Around 4 p.m., a man called 911 after seeing the body while walking near the woods along Route 1 near the Patuxent Freeway.

Police think the body may be a woman in her 40s reported missing a few weeks ago by a friend. There are no obvious signs of foul play and she is believed to be homeless.
