Random House gives bonuses due to ’50 Shades’ success

WASHINGTON – The employees of the book publisher Random House will be having happy holidays this year, thanks to “50 Shades of Grey.”

Sales have been so good that everybody from top editors to secretaries will be getting $5,000 bonuses.

Multiple news outlets report the bonuses were announced last week at the company’s Christmas party.

“50 Shades of Grey” has sold over 20 million copies and has been at the top of bestseller lists for nearly a year.
