Dating website helps travelers fall in love at airports

WASHINGTON – Looking to pass the time during an airport layover? Why not fall in love?

Travelers can meet potential mates in airports all over the world through a new dating website MeetAtTheAirport.com.

The website launched in May 2011 and claims to have more than 20,000 members. The site is aimed at young professionals who travel for their jobs and may find it easier to meet their soul mate through an international pool of candidates.

“Share a drink with an attractive stranger in the totally safe environment of a public airport,” the website states. “Perhaps, share a brunch or romantic dinner while waiting for your flight and explore the enticing possibilities that are presented to you.”

Users must be over age 18 and single to register. MeetAtTheAirport.com states it is not an escort service and is not liable for any interaction between members.
