UPDATE: Friday – 12/7/2012, 6:02pm ET

WASHINGTON – Powerball officials have announced the second winner in last week’s $587.5 million Powerball drawing is a married man in his 30s from the wealthy Phoenix suburb of Fountain Hills, lottery officials said Friday.

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. – Missouri’s winner of the record $587.5 million Powerball jackpot has been verified, but the second winner – the one who bought a ticket in Arizona – hasn’t been found.

But there’s a chance the winner could live and work in the D.C. metro area, at least if the buzz at the Marlboro Village Exxon turns out to be true.

WJLA, which first reported the story, says a man who appeared to be a construction or highway worker came into the Exxon and checked his tickets.

He then showed the ticket – which he reportedly said he got in Arizona – to the clerk and another man in the store, who both say it had the winning numbers on it.

The man kept on shouting “I won” as he left the convenience store.

WJLA has the surveillance footage from the store.
