9 juveniles charged, 1 dead in Woodley Park stabbing

WASHINGTON – A teenager has died and a second person was injured in a stabbing inside Washington’s Woodley Park Metro station.

Police say they were called to the station Saturday morning around 1 a.m. Police found two men with stab wounds, and one of the men later died.

Police identified the man who died as 18-year-old Olijawon Griffin of Olney, Md. The second victim was admitted to a hospital in stable condition.

Police say Griffin was robbed several blocks from the Metro station and later got into an altercation with the robbery suspects at the Metro station.

As a result of the altercation seven juvenile males were charged with aggravated assault. One juvenile male was charged with aggravated assault and robbery.

According to D.C. Police, a 17 year-old male was charged with second-degree murder while armed.
