A Fairfax County woman has drowned in the Potomac River, according to police.

Prince William County police say 66-year-old Cheryl Alston of Fairfax was found by divers in Belmont Bay Wednesday. Police searched the area after she was reported missing Nov. 5. She had last gone to a marina in Occoquan where she had a boat.

Investigators believe she fell into the water from the dock at the marina. Police say her death was accidental and that no foul play is suspected.

Fairfax County police provided a dive team and U.S. Customs and Border Patrol provided a helicopter to assist in the search for Alston at the bay, police said.

Belmont Bay lies between Mason Neck State Park and Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge near Woodbridge.
