Woman’s body recovered from Potomac

WASHINGTON – Local police dive teams pulled the body of a woman from the Potomac River near Belmont Bay Wednesday.

Prince William County police say they worked with Fairfax County and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency in the recovery effort. But police released few other details about their investigation, which they say is ongoing.

Investigators had not identified the remains and said no other information would be released until they could notify the woman’s family.
