Va. passes eminent domain, General Assembly amendments

WASHINGTON – The two constitutional amendments on the Virginia state ballot passed with an overwhelming majority on Tuesday.

Constitutional Amendment 2 changes the General Assembly’s veto session when members meet to consider bills returned by the governor with vetoes or amendments. The amendment will allow the General Assembly to reschedule meetings around holidays such as Easter and Passover.
