Police step up efforts to nab serial fondler in Va.

WASHINGTON – Police are stepping up efforts to identify a man they say has fondled nine women in Fairfax County.

Over the last two months, nine women have come forward saying a man, whom they all describe similarly, grabbed them from behind and fondled them in the Springfield area.

Police released the latest report Wednesday. A woman said she was attacked on Hibbling Avenue last Thursday, the same day another woman reported being grabbed.

The newest victim was slow in reporting the attack because she was unaware of the previous incidents due to a language barrier, police say.

Police are circulating fliers of the suspect’s sketch in the Springfield area. They have also reached out to local Spanish media.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, with a medium build and black hair. He often wears a red cap.
