Md. early voting center loses power

WASHINGTON – The early voting center at the College Park Community Center has lost power.

The outage is affecting about 1,000 Pepco customers near the University of Maryland College Park.

The voting machines do have battery backups that last for about three hours, and there are generators on site in case the outage lasts longer than that.

WTOP has called Pepco for more information on the outage, and find out when power will be restored.
