Rep. Lewis goes ‘Gangnam style’ to promote voting

WASHINGTON – The “Gangnam style” craze has hit Congress, with Rep. John Lewis, D- Ga., joining in the fun.

Lewis, a civil rights activist and one of the original Freedom Riders, made an appearance in a parody of the song. But this parody had an entirely different context: urging citizens to vote.

The National Journal reports that Lewis told attendees of this year’s Democratic National Convention that the right to vote is almost sacred.
