WASHINGTON – Fairfax County police have charged a Reston man for allegedly murdering his sister.

Officers found Ruth Allen, 68, in her home with a gunshot wound after responding to a report of a shooting Tuesday morning in the 11300 block of Geddys Court in Reston.

Allen was transported to the Reston Hospital Center, where she died from her injuries.

Her brother Charles Hamilton, 59, was taken into custody at the home.
