Arlington voters will decide on $150 million in bond requests

WASHINGTON – Arlington voters will be deciding on more than $150 million in bond requests when they head to the polls next month.

The largest bond, $50.5 million, would go to parks and recreation. Most of that would go towards an indoor aquatics center at Long Bridge Park.

A $42.6 million bond for school projects will also be on the ballot, as will a $31.9 million bond for Metro and other transportation needs.

The smallest bond on the ballot is for $28.3 million for community infrastructure.

The Washington Post reports that a bond proposal hasn’t failed in Arlington County since 1979.
