Water main break closes Mont. Co. school

WASHINGTON – A local school is canceling classes Friday because of a water main break.

Darnestown Elementary School in Gaithersburg, Md., will be closed all day, and staff are asking parents to pick up their children as soon as possible. Teachers and faculty will be staying with the kids until the last child is picked up.

Busses will not be sending children home.

The school is already scheduled to be closed on Monday. Officials hope to get the school back open on Tuesday.
