WASHINGTON – A woman found dead in a Beltsville, Md. park was murdered, Prince George’s County Police say. Her death is prompting a joint-homicide investigation.

Maryland-National Capital Park police and county EMS employees responded to Beltsville Neighborhood Park at 11540 Montgomery Road Wednesday morning to find a woman with trauma to her upper body.

Because the victim was found on park grounds, the investigation will be managed by both Prince George’s County officers and the Maryland-National Capital Park Police.

The woman’s body will be examined by a medical examiner in Baltimore, county police say, where investigators hope they’ll discover more clues to find her killer.
